Sometimes I wish I were a crenoline...

One of my favorite searches* on eBay is for vintage party dresses.

I could spend hours looking at these gorgeous works of art and their ladylike splendor... and sometimes I do. Aren't they just the dreamiest? I imagine them on dress-forms all over my house.

Here are a few eBay sellers who always seem to have wonderful selections of fabulous vintage party dresses.

    Good Lord..they had the tiniest waist!!!These are some of the prettiest dresses I have ever seen. I would love to have a whole room of them..lol

    Those ARE gorgeous dresses! A couple of them remind me of what Donna Reid wore as Mary in It's a Wonderful Life! :) I wish we still dressed like that now~ the clothes were so amazing!

    Good Lord, Necel - those are FABULOUS. I mean, I just want to make them, and yet they won't look like that on me and I have no one to do them for... unless I make them for dolls? Hm. Idea.

    When I read the title of this post, I thought 'yuck, this one's not for me', then I continued on and just oooed and aaahhed over every dress. What a nice surprise...I loved it! LOL.
