I can't tell you how excited when I first discovered Polyvore. It's a site where you make collages (or sets). It's so easy and so much fun and I can always use another creative outlet (especially a free one).
(Warning! Polyvore is extremely addictive!)
Here's one of the first sets I made.
In a nutshell, here's how it works...
If you want a pink coat in your set, just type in "pink coat," and wah-lah hundreds of them appear right on your screen. Then you drag the coat of your choice to your set. Add any accessories you want and pretty soon you have this...
To me, this is totally like shopping on an unlimited budget. If you see something you like, just grab it and it's yours (sans the credit card bill).
The great part is, if you see something you can't live without, for real, just click on it and you can purchase it. How great is that?
I bought this sweater and I love it. (Well, not just this sweater. There are others too.)
Anyway...
Today, I am posting some pink sets for the Pink Saturday party.
The possibilities are truly endless. You can even do rooms.
So, next time you're bored (or even when you're not) go play around on Polyvore. I promise you will have fun. And you'll probably go back. (Again, and again, and again...)
(If you go all the way to the bottom of this page, you can scroll through more of my sets.)

ReplyDeleteOh I can't wait to try this collage thing out! I just happen to be bored today. Plenty to do but it's a lazy Saturday. I'm from E. TX so your little house intrigues me. Would love to have something like that myself. Good luck on your journey to restoring it! Happy PS!

Welcome to your first Pink Saturday, Necel. I am glad you decided to join us.
ReplyDeleteAnd, many thanks for the info on Polyvore. It looks like it could become a new love of my life.
Your Pink Saturday post reminded me of my own addiction for a short stint last year...happy to report that I'm in remission and have replaced those collages with paper and tissue and ephemera...loved to read about your animals...they certainly look settled in. Hope you get to realize your home restoration project someday soon. Your picture of it looks just like my Oma and Opa's house in central Texas...It was torn down because of termites, but every kitchen cabinet, window, every piece of gingerbread and every turned post that uas usable was reclaimed and reused. Happy Pink Saturday.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE all the shoes!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy PS!
