Pet-food containers from Ballard Design...

Do you keep an idea notebook? I do. When I see something online that I like, I print it out and file it. I also tear pages from catalogs and magazines and slip them in plastic sheet protectors. I'm in dire need of a larger notebook because I have a huge pile to file.

These pet-food containers from Ballard Designs have been in the "wishlist" section of my notebook for awhile. I would like to purchase them both in white. They are kind of expensive at $49 but that's a small price to pay for something I love. (I'm pretty sure I could make them for a lot less than this.)

They remind me a lot of these containers pictured in Better Homes and Gardens New Decorating Book.

I think they would be a perfect fit in this laundry room... which would be a perfect fit in the Old House. I'd also love to have the laundry container sitting on the counter in this photo. I think I'll go shopping for one and post my finds for you.

This laundry-room photo is from Superior Woodcraft. I highly recommend checking out their portfolio for your design notebook.

Happy shopping!

  2. Sweet greetings from Frog Hollow Farm! Love those pet food containers - I bet you could make them yourself! I might even give it a try. Ciao, bella!

  3. I love them too but I think you could make your own. Home improvement stores have the cans and you could paint them white and add vinyl words to them. Much less expensive I would think.
