There are so many (750 to be exact, duh) brilliant decorating ideas in this beautiful book, that I can't share all the ones I love. So, I thought I'd share three things that I definitely want to do in the Old House.
I just adore the idea of using a dollhouse for a shelf. I already have an antique dollhouse that was my dad's in the 1940s. It's packed away in a box because the mice were gnawing on it so, unfortunately, I can't post a photo.
There is a doorway just like this in the Old House and I think these doors would be fabulous there.
I think high-gloss white paint would look really good on the floor of Old House porch.

I joined that 2 about 6 years ago and i loved getting new books. But it got to be to expensive cause i kept forgetting to send the books back i did not want. lol. I still have all my books and still go thru them...
ReplyDeleteI think I joined that book club once, too! I have a couple of painting/gardening books from them, but ended up cancelling because I never had the time to use any of the ideas. :) They're on my bookshelf, though... BTW, LOVE, love, LOVE the dollhouse idea! I wish I had one that was an heirloom to use... but I may just go looking for one to make into an heirloom. :)
ReplyDeleteI have that book, that dollhouse photo is one of my favorite photos of all times! I've been looking high and low for a dollhouse for years to do that!
ReplyDeleteloving your blog!
